An energetic and creative ECE/Caregiver with solid experience working with children of varying ages.

At present, the center cares for full-time enrollees ranging from 1.5y to 4y old.

 

Job Summary:

Reporting to the facility's owner and manager and working alongside an ECE Assistant, the ECE is responsible for the care and development of children ranging from ages 0-12 years, facilitating a healthy learning environment at all times, providing high quality care and supporting the developmental needs of the children.

This individual gains valuable hands-on experience in the early childhood programs by working directly with children and facilitating planned activities in a group setting, tracking developmental milestones to support the goals laid out in the center's quarterly milestone reporting for each child in care.

 

Must-haves:

• Passion for working with young minds

• Minimum six months of recent, continuous experience in a daycare or preschool setting as an ECE

• Child Safe First Aid and CPR certificate

• Successful reference checks and a criminal clearance

 

Nice to Have:​

• Up-to-date knowledge of the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR)

• Experience with facilitating planned activities for children ages 18m - 5y

• Experience managing/delegating tasks to ECEA/assistants

• Experience working alongside practicum students
